    • Description

Champagne Louise Brison is a tiny Organic and Biodynamically farmed vineyard located in the south of the Champagne region, who are destined for greatness. This estate only creates Vintage wines, and all wines are matured in barrel before they undergo secondary fermentation. The wines then spend a minimum 5 years on lees in bottle, and after the Second ferment no reserve wines are added, and dosage is excruciatingly low (when it ever is added). Malolactic conversion is allowed to happen naturally, though it rarely does, retaining a laser-fine line of acidity. These wines are indeed more Burgundy with bubbles than they are Champagne! Truly vinous and amazingly complex wines that will only build in complexity over time. Despite saying Non Vintage, this Impertinente Rose is 100% 2014 fruit- strangely all Champagne houses must produce at least one Non Vintage every year! 100% Pinot Noir and produced using the Maceration method, which only 10% of Champagne houses utilise. 5 years ageing on lees in barrel and 9 months in bottle for secondary fermentation. Only 2 grams dosage added making this an Extra Brut.

    Louise Brison

Above all, Louise Brison, is a family story, of technical know-how and human relations over 4 generations. In 1900, Louise Brison eked out a living on a few acres of vines at a time when wine making was not very lucrative. Thanks to her tenacity, the future generations were able to cintinue her work and the estate took on a new direction in 1991, with Francis BRULEZ, who began producing vintage Champagnes aged in oak barrels. Given her deep attachment to this land, it was Delphine BRULEZ, agronomist engineer and oenologist, who rose to the challenge of perpetuating it today with a naturel evolution towards a organic viticulture.
