    • Description

In 2024, the team at Duhart-Milon embarked on a vintage as daring and delicate as navigating the Strait of Magellan. Much like that legendary waterway—with its unpredictable turns and narrow passages—this growing season required a steady hand and great patience.

Harvest began on 2nd September with the estate’s eastern white grape plots. For the reds, the team waited, watching the skies and tasting the berries for just the right moment. On 24th September, the youngest Merlot vines signalled readiness. From there, harvest was a series of well-timed pauses and starts—zigzagging between weather windows—culminating on 8th October with the final cut in the westerly Montgrand parcels.

This careful choreography across the estate has produced a red wine marked by precision, poise, and the classic elegance expected of a Grand Cru Classé Pauillac.

    Chateau Duhart-Milon

Château Duhart Milon Rothschild is a Pauillac estate owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild that produces on average 28,000 cases of wine per year. The wine chais are located in Pauillac town and the property has a similar climate to that enjoyed by the Médoc: maritime, with the Gironde estuary and the Bay of Biscay combining to act as a climate regulator and the coastal pine forests sheltering the vines from the westerly and north-westerly winds. Duhart Milon Rothschild's vineyards (Cabernet Sauvignon 65%, Merlot 30%and Cabernet Franc 5%) border Lafite Rothschild. Vinification includes oak ageing, up to 40% new. Duhart Milon Rothschild is classified as a 4ème Cru Classé.
