"The elegance displayed by the Cabernet has the merit of recalling the incredible abilities of this grape variety. It doesn't really need to free itself from the Merlot that contributes to its beauty, but it simply wants to point out that complementarity can only be achieved if the foundations are good. The subtle nuances of cedar and graphite are a reminder of the place (and the reduction), while the notes of red berries, cherries and spices are a sign of freshness. The attack only abounds in the sense of the olfactory preambles. Charm and power signal their complicity from the outset. They open the way to a sapid, suave, invigorating and lively wine, an element that it owes to the incisive character of its structure worthy of a Jedi's lightsaber! The definition and depth become almost incidental, but we are still happy that they are there! An inviting, enveloping, comforting, serene, caressing, enchanting wine! "The Baron’s honor and grandeur have never relied too heavily on the favor of the sun, nor are they easily shaken by the fluctuations of any given vintage. In the 2024 vintage, when the fruit aromas are not particularly intense, In the fruit-reticent 2024 season, it did not rush to bloom, but held itself in quiet reserve, cultivating its strength in stillness. Its structure coils firm like a vine, while the tannins are as fine as powder, spreading across the palate like a hidden dragon sweeping across the tongue, leaving no trace of the rainy, cool vintage. With Cabernet Sauvignon making up 87% of the blend, the blackberries and blueberries are perfectly ripe – slightly compact, yet never overly charming. Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron is also the name of the red wine produced by this property. The wine produced here was classified as one of fifteen Deuxiemes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
