Description
Kooyong Estate Pinot Noir comprises fruit from the Meres, Haven and Ferrous blocks. It offers an overall expression of the Kooyong vineyard.
Minimal intervention. Fermentation of all wines occurs spontaneously with native ambient yeasts. This is also the case for the malolactic fermentations. French oak is used for all barrel matured wines, bottled unfined and unfiltered.
The expressive nose reveals a delightful combination of black and red cherry, raspberries, muted smoky aromas, while the palate offers up a supple mid-palate weight that is framed by fine tannins. Intense floral flavours and a hint of oak spice complete the picture, creating an enjoyable and elegant Pinot Noir that will cellar nicely.
