Description
Let us tempt you with this exceptional red wine 100% made from Pinot noir. Taste its perfect intensity characterised by red fruits, such as morello cherries, blackcurrants and strawberries.
It offers a fresh and intense nose, slightly spicy, dominated by red fruit -the authentic Pinot Noir-. In mouth, the freshness of the attack of red fruits -Raspberries, cherries, blackcurrants…- is followed by a slight tannic intensity. It ends on a harmonious final touch.
Robert Goulley is made by Domaine Gueguen located in Chablis. The juice is essentially the same wine that goes into the Domaine Gueguen bottlings. From the winery: "The freshness of Chablis, coming from a Kimmerigian soil, offers you an exceptional wine of pleasure, to be served in any occasion. Let yourself be surprised by its extraordinary fruitiness and minerality."
Based in the hamlet of Préhy, just 7 km southwest of Chablis. Although it’s dripping with the history of its founders, it was established in just 2013. The vineyards are largely inherited from Céline’s grandmother. Nearly all the fruit is estate-grown, with just a small amount in Chablis sourced from reputable growers.
The estate of Celine and Frederic Gueguen is made up of 25 hectares of vines in the villages of Chablis, Chichee, la Chapelle Vaupelteigne, Saint-Bris and Irancy.
Celine, from a winemaking family, worked with Frederic at her father Jean-Marc Brocards estate for over a decade before they decided in 2013 to go it alone and create their own wines.
Their cellar is in the small village of Prehy, where they work out of a 19th-century building crafting a deliberately modern style of wine, with a focus to respect and express their terroir.
One of their main goals is to preserve their soil, which is why they use neither chemical fertilisers nor herbicides. From 2015 onward all their wine have been made using exclusively organic processes, with the domaine beginning its conversion to certified organics with the 2019 vintage.
