Description
Chateau de Laubade is an agricultural and winegrowing estate located in Sorbets, in the Gers, in the heart of the finest Bas Armagnac terroir. The 105 hectares estate in a single block around the chateau, built in 1870, it has been owned by the Lesgourgues family for three generations. Today, Denis, assisted by his sister, Jeanne, and brother, Arnaud, continue their family’s constant striving for excellence, with the aim of producing the most outstanding Armagnacs. Appearance: Deep amber with copper glints. Nose: Rich and evolved with dried apricot, walnut, caramelised orange, and earthy rancio. Palate: Smooth and concentrated, showing stewed fruits, spice cake, nutmeg, and hints of cedar. Finish: Long and layered, with warming oak, fig, and a savoury touch of cocoa. Overall: A stately vintage with classic maturity, balancing dried fruit richness with aromatic depth.
