Description
Chateau de Laubade is an agricultural and winegrowing estate located in Sorbets, in the Gers, in the heart of the finest Bas Armagnac terroir. The 105 hectares estate in a single block around the chateau, built in 1870, it has been owned by the Lesgourgues family for three generations. Today, Denis, assisted by his sister, Jeanne, and brother, Arnaud, continue their family’s constant striving for excellence, with the aim of producing the most outstanding Armagnacs. Appearance: Dark amber with golden edges. Nose: Complex aromas of prune, cocoa, almond, orange peel, vanilla, and fine oak. Palate: Silky and rounded with flavours of dried fruits, mocha, cinnamon, and honeyed nuts. Finish: Extended and refined with a warming rancio complexity. Overall: A polished and layered XO, showing the balance of long aging and elegant blending.
