Mezzo is a value-focused label crafted by winemakers Keeda Zilm and Luke Broadbent, with fruit sourced from the Limestone Coast in South Australia's south-east. The region is a cool-to-moderate maritime district best known for its distinctive terra rossa soils - shallow red clay-loam over a limestone base - which drain well and encourage even ripening. The climate's moderating maritime influence and long, mild ripening period help retain natural acidity and delicate aromatics, well suited to a fresh, dry Pinot Grigio. The philosophy behind the label avoids acidification and relies on quality fruit farmed for purity and elegance at an accessible price.

Grapes were picked to preserve freshness and pressed gently, with the juice fermented cool in a reductive, protective manner to retain the variety's pale colour and crisp pear, apple and citrus aromatics. In keeping with the Mezzo approach, no acidification was used and any oak handling relied only on genuine barrels rather than additives, though this white is built primarily around bright, unoaked fruit. The wine was made in a dry, elegant style, then bottled early to capture its pure-fruited, refreshing character and clean finish.
