    • Description

Made by Reid Bosward and the team at Kaesler, one of the Barossa's oldest and most revered wineries. 20% Barossa Valley fruit has been added in to lift the complex , blue-fruited style of the Clare.

The nose is classic South Australian- gutsy, brooding and dark-fruited, but with a hint of blue fruits from the dash of Clare Valley fruit. Gorgeous rich dark fruits, blood plums, blackberries, black earth, nutmeg and star anise. The palate follows through from the nose- black and blue fruits lead, then cinnamon, star anise, black and white pepper and nutmeg with sandy tannins. Warm but exceptionally well-balanced alcohol.

    Kaesler

Kaesler is a Barossa Valley winery, through and through. The Kaesler family first settled on the estate in 1845 and by the mid-1890s they had planted vineyards and winemaking was in full swing. The estate was in the family’s hands until 1986, but it wasn’t until 1999, when winemaker Reid Bosworth came along, that the Kaesler wine legacy jumped back in to gear. With a focus on old-vine Shiraz, Kaesler has made a name for itself as a Barossa Valley stalwart on the back of its Kaesler Old Bastard, The Bogan, Alte Reben and Stonehorse wines.
