Tasting Notes

Château Grand-Mayne 2015 is a distinguished Saint-Émilion red wine from Bordeaux, crafted from a classic Right Bank blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is a refined and expressive wine with the generous character of Merlot, the aromatic lift of Cabernet Franc and the structure provided by Cabernet Sauvignon.

The outstanding 2015 Bordeaux vintage is widely regarded for producing ripe, balanced and beautifully concentrated wines. Château Grand-Mayne’s 2015 offers the depth and elegance expected from a fine Saint-Émilion, with layered fruit, polished tannins and a lingering finish.

With its combination of richness, freshness and classic Bordeaux character, this Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is an impressive choice for collectors and fine-wine enthusiasts. Supplied direct from the château, it benefits from perfect provenance and careful storage history.

Critic Scores

Lush, ripe, ripe, opulent and fruity, the wine exudes espresso, plum, vanilla, dark red pit fruits, flowers, herbs and smoke in its perfume. Elegant, silky, plush and fresh, give it 3-4 more years in the cellar and it will be drinking just fabulously.

This huge wine seems to revel in its rich and powerful fruits. It has a serious side as well, coming from dark tannins, black chocolate and wood-aging flavors. If it seems extracted at this stage, that fruit will come to balance the wine as it matures further. Drink from 2024. Roger Voss

A tight and silky red with berry, chocolate and black-tea character. Full-bodied, tight and integrated. Fresh finish. Drink in 2020.
