Description
The fruit for the Black Sands Chardonnay comes from a very unique vineyard in Western Victoria – the Heywood Vineyard, planted in 1990 by Alice and Alistair Taylor. The soils here are full of black volcanic sand layered over white limestone, imbuing the wine with a magical minerality and earthiness. It’s full of flavour but stays light on it’s feet, with intermingling of lemon, orange, peaches and nectarines as well as honeyed, brioche notes.
