Description
The Coonawarra climate is predominantly maritime with dry, cool summers that ripen almost all grape varieties to perfection. The terra rossa soil of Coonawarra is the most famous viticultural strip in Australia and if there is one producer whose name is synonymous with that of Coonawarra it is Wynns Coonawarra Estate.
Made from 100% Shiraz this wine was matured in new and used American and French oak for 12 months. Youthful bright cherry red colour. The nose displays aromas of black pepper and mulberry with hints of charry oak in the background. The palate is soft with raspberry, toasty oak and persistent spicy peppery flavours. Long lingering finish.
