Dry and fresh with a tautness to the mouthfeel the palate has flavours of strawberries and raspberries over yeast lees, traces of toast and mineral. Ruinart

Since its foundation in 1729, the first established House of Champagne has taken pride in the excellence of its Cuvées. The unique shape of its bottle is a tribute to the historic bottles of the eighteenth century. Chardonnay plays a fundamental role and constitutes the very soul of Ruinart wines. The grape, mainly harvested from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims terroirs, is at the heart of all Ruinart Cuvées. One of the most iconic features of this Champagne house is The Crayères. Dug almost 2000 years ago, these ancient chalk tunnels create an 8-kilometre labyrinth of galleries up to 38 meters below ground. These chalk quarries have continued to be used for cellaring their bottles for over a century; the underground galleries creating the perfect environment for aging at 90% humidity. The Crayères in the French city of Reims were officially classified as a historical monument in 1931 and Ruinart now offers public discovery visits of these magnificent cellars.
