Description
The 2024 Fairbank Rosé upholds our tradition of creating highly enjoyable rosé wines from our own harvest. Staying true to previous releases, this wine boasts a lively hue of salmon-rose. A blend of syrah, cabernet sauvignon, sangiovese with a dash of viognier - delivers lifted spring blossom, musk, cranberry, wild strawberry and cherry with biscuit notes with gentle creaminess and finishes with even, deep flavours balanced by spiciness and a lively acid drive.
Halliday Judge Jeni Port, praised the 2024 vintage for maintaining “the pretty-as-a-picture salmon-rose hues and flavours that boast serious rosé cred” stating that “following on from the Halliday Wine Companion Rosé of the Year Award for the '22 and '23 vintages, the '24 has big shoes to fill.” and "It doesn't disappoint”.
Whole bunch pressed with the pressings cut fine and fermented separately. Cold settled juices were racked with fluffy grape solids to tank to start fermentation. Once a strong fermentation was established the parcels were transferred to old French barriques to proceed to dryness. To preserve fruit vibrancy the parcels were racked, blended to tank once dry. A light finning was followed by stabilisation and filtration before bottling in early December 2024.
