    • Description

"One of the most talented winemakers in the Loire - he farms in a method close to biodynamic. His whole range of wines have drive, and are regularly among the best wines in and around Saumur." Bettane + Dessauve Top 100 Producers of France

From vines averaging 65 years old on clayey-sandy silt over limestone. Vinified with indigenous yeast after separating free run juices and matured for 12 months, half in older barriques (3-5 year-old) and half in foudres. Shows a very clear expression of fruit with barrel-ferment notes adding complexity to the fresh, long and concentrated finish. Un-fined, filtered at bottling.

100% Chenin Blanc from vines averaging 65 year old on silt soil over limestone. Whole-bunch pressed, the freerun juice is fermented with natural yeast in older oak foudres. Matured on fine lees in older barriques for about six months without malolactic conversion.
