Fine-grained wine. Elegant. Lengthy. And lovely. This is a grenache-mataro-shiraz blend from McLaren Vale that I loved drinking. It tastes of raspberry, red cherry, sweet spice and purple flowers, and it feels tight and exactingly-well-crafted throughout. Reduction has been put to positive – though modest– effect too, adding a slight smokiness, and adding to that tight, dry impression. If you like the light-spicy-structural style, you'll love this.
