Tasting Notes

Brave New Spirits, winner of Best Independent Bottler 2026 at the World Whisky Awards, are the caretakers and curators of one of the most impressive selection of casks in all of Scotland, with whiskies from a wide range of distilleries, aging quietly in an impressively wide range of cask types.

The Cask Masters range represents the rarest and most exciting Single Cask whiskies on the market, each bottled un-chillfiltered and without the use of artificial colours.

The Golden Proof collection is bottled at a more comfortable strength, allowing both the flavour of the whisky, and the barrel to shine.

Benrinnes is a distillery reknowned for its rich, fruity character. This single cask is aged in an ex-Oloroso Bodega cask, at a comfortable 50.9%, its one of the most dangerously quaffable drams in the current Brave New Spirits range.

Toasted hazelnut, dry spice and stewed fruits. Jammy without being too tight.

On the nose: Toasted christmas cake spices, nectarine and honey.

On the palate: Sticky date, figs and a soft maritime note. Oak, a faint smoke and a dry finish.

On the finish: Long, rich, fruity.
