Tasting Notes

Brave New Spirits, winner of Best Independent Bottler 2026 at the World Whisky Awards, are the caretakers and curators of one of the most impressive selection of casks in all of Scotland, with whiskies from a wide range of distilleries, aging quietly in an impressively wide range of cask types.

The Cask Masters range represents the rarest and most exciting Single Cask whiskies on the market, each bottled un-chillfiltered and without the use of artificial colours.

The Golden Proof collection is bottled at a more comfortable strength, allowing both the flavour of the whisky, and the barrel to shine.

Inchgower is a distillery that has become more and more popular amongst Independent Bottlers in recent years, with not only an exceptional quality of spirit, but a texture that is robust, and holds up to aging.

This Single Cask was aged for 14 Years in an ex-Oloroso sherry barrique, resulting in a beautiful combination of beeswax and dark fruit that melts across the palate. When we first tasted this, we nearly kept it to ourselves.

On the nose: Beeswax, sea air, and sherry soaked fruits.

On the palate: Peach melba, sandalwood, flint, the distinctive waxy character of Inchgower carries darker dried fruits and spice

On the finish: Long, exceptionally smooth, maritime and rich.
