Tasting Notes
Brave New Spirits, winner of Best Independent Bottler 2026 at the World Whisky Awards, are the caretakers and curators of one of the most impressive selection of casks in all of Scotland, with whiskies from a wide range of distilleries, aging quietly in an impressively wide range of cask types.
The Cask Masters range represents the rarest and most exciting Single Cask whiskies on the market, each bottled un-chillfiltered and without the use of artificial colours.
The Rare & Exclusive label is reserved strictly for Whisky that deserves it. Only the oldest, and most decadent of whiskies from Cask Masters are released under this label, including highly aged spirit from some of Scotland's most prestigious distilleries.
“A beautiful ‘young old’ malt, with the layered complexity of age and the sprightly brightness of youth. You'll see what I mean…” - Whiskyfun - 5 Stars
This review from Angus & Serge at Whiskyfun sums up this Tormore perfectly. Despite being one of the oldest Tormore's we have ever seen, this is perhaps the most delicate and complex dram of the Brave New Spirits range.
Aged 33 Years in an ex-Bourbon barrel, this whisky is waxy, almost fatty, with notes of butter-baked apples and aloe vera tea. Truly a brilliant, brilliant Single Malt.
On the nose: Butter, sesame oil and freshly picked apples. Fresh cut greenery, and a soft waft of lavender… perhaps pine. Elegant, classic, regal.
On the palate: Coconut macarons, fruit jellies in green tea, candied apple and peach from a can. Comfortably plush, whilst still having a gentle, elegant body.
On the finish: Medium, oily, leaving the tongue coated in a gentle nutty flavour. Delicious
