JEAN-LUC JAMET
A Journey Through Côte-Rôtie
There are few regions in the world capable of producing wines that combine power, perfume and longevity quite like Côte-Rôtie.
Perched above the Rhône River on impossibly steep granite slopes, this historic appellation has captivated collectors for generations. Here, Syrah reaches its most refined expression, producing wines of extraordinary complexity, combining dark fruits, spice, violets, smoked meats and mineral tension in a way found nowhere else on earth.
For one evening only, we invite guests to experience the wines of Jean-Luc Jamet, one of the Northern Rhône's most respected vignerons. Following the division of the legendary Jamet family estate, Jean-Luc established his own domaine in 2013, quickly earning acclaim for producing wines that honour the traditions of Côte-Rôtie while expressing his own meticulous approach to viticulture and winemaking.
The evening begins with a fascinating comparison of two vintages of Couzou Blanc, offering a rare opportunity to explore how Rhône whites evolve over time. From there, guests will move through a progression of Syrah, beginning with the vibrant Collines Rhodaniennes and Enclave before arriving at the centrepiece of the evening.
A remarkable vertical tasting of Côte-Rôtie Les Terrasses spanning eight vintages from 2015 through to 2022.
Rarely does the opportunity arise to examine a wine across such a broad range of growing seasons in a single sitting. Guests will experience the influence of vintage conditions, bottle age and site expression while gaining a deeper understanding of why Côte-Rôtie remains one of the world's most revered wine regions. wine regions.
