Opus One was founded by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, legendary proprietor of Château Mouton Rothschild, and renowned Napa Valley vintner Robert Mondavi.

Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec, which gives it a complex and balanced flavor profile with notes of black cherry, blackberry, and hints of vanilla and spice.

Grapes are carefully harvested and aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, resulting in a wine that is rich, full-bodied, and age-worthy.

    • Description

The estate vineyards of Opus One, comprised of 4 parcels. In the vineyards, hand-harvesting and other traditional approaches are taken wherever they work best. When modern techniques benefit the winegrowing process, they are researched, evaluated and integrated into practice.

Aromas of black cherry, cassis, blackberry, and a hint of vanilla and spice. Full-bodied and rich, with flavours of dark fruit, chocolate, and espresso. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, providing structure and balance to the wine. The finish is long and lingering, with a touch of sweetness and a hint of minerality.
