      This famous Coonawarra winery was established in 1974 by noted oenologist, Sydney Hamilton. He named his estate after his English ancestor, who resided in Petworth Manor House in the south of England. Coonawarra vineyards take full advantage of the region’s famous terra rossa soils, with this Cabernet Sauvignon exhibiting wonderful dark red berries and blackcurrant flavours, met with exceptional structure and length that will see it age superbly.

    I have only tried one bottle from this dozen so far, and it is impressive. A typical Cab Sav from Leconfield Coonarwarra, classic cassis, beautifully balanced, hint of strawberry with a long finish, that;'s not too dry.
