Tread Softly, from Fourth Wave Wine, is a contemporary range designed around naturally medium-weight, moderate styles and a strong sustainability agenda. The Everything Except zero-alcohol Pinot Noir is hand-crafted from quality South Australian grapes sourced from established vineyards across the state. Because the wine is de-alcoholised, there is no single vintage; the base is drawn from selected Pinot Noir parcels chosen for bright berry fruit and gentle savoury character. The brand pursues more sustainable vineyard management and winemaking to limit its footprint, and commits to planting an Australian native tree for every six-pack sold, having planted over 1.3 million trees to date.

Fruit was picked in the cool of the morning and delivered quickly to the winery for destemming, crushing and a standard fermentation in stainless steel to produce a base red. That wine was then de-alcoholised: a portion was cool-distilled while another underwent ultra-membrane filtration to remove alcohol at low temperature and safeguard fruit character. The components were carefully blended back into the original parcel to achieve a well-integrated zero-alcohol wine, retaining bright berry fruit, a hint of savoury earthiness and a smooth, easy-drinking finish.
