A tiny production Chardonnay from two masters of fermentation, Steve Flamsteed and Brad Rogers, this second Decades release shows just how special this Coal River Valley site is. The long, cool 2024 season delivered beautifully balanced fruit, and the minimalist approach in the winery lets that purity shine. Wild ferment, seasoned French oak, partial malo and gentle lees work have created a calm, mineral, quietly powerful Chardonnay with crystalline citrus, subtle texture and a sense of effortlessness. With only 200 cartons made and critics swooning, this is one of Tasmania’s must have releases.
