Description
This Chardonnay is the result of a collaboration between Prophet’s Rock winemaker Paul Pujol and renowned French winemaker François Millet from Chambolle-Musigny, Burgundy. François, who spent 35 vintages as the winemaker at Comte George de Vogüé, continues his winemaking legacy in Burgundy with his family under the label ‘François Millet et Fils,’ and now also with us in New Zealand.
The grapes for this Chardonnay were sourced from a small, one-hectare block in our Kopuwai Delta vineyard, situated in the Pisa sub-region of Central Otago. This site features a mix of glacial and alluvial soils. Meticulous viticulture practices and the vineyard’s low elevation ensure full ripeness and concentration of the grapes. Cellaring will reward collectors over the next 10+ years from the vintage date.
