    • Description

BOTA BOTA Organic Garnacha encapsulates the very best qualities of old vine character.

Found in the unique area of Urbezo, vibrant raspberry and wild strawberry characters come through on the nose and palate. These are coupled with the crunchy and energetic cranberry notes that give this wine so much vitality and drinkability. The tannins are supple and silky soft making them ideally suited for casual occasions and pairing with Mediterranean dishes such as roasted vegetables, mezze or simply... pizza.

Urbezo is a special place for growing grapes which produce beautifully fresh, pure and delicious organic wines. Garnacha from 50-70 year old vines is dry farmed on widely-spaced, bush vines whose long roots dig deep into the soil picking up essential minerals and nutrients.

The grapes are hand-harvested in September from selected parajes and allowed to chill down to preserve the bright aromatics which this region gives to the wines. They are then fermented with 50% whole-bunch clusters to preserve the fresh fruit profile whilst retaining the depth and persistence from the old vines and surrounding terroir. Soft and supple tannins and achieved though minimal handling throughout fermentation.
