Tasting Notes
The 2019 Beaune du Château is a high-octane, "solar" vintage that Head Winemaker Frédéric Weber has famously compared to the legendary 1949. This year was defined by heat and low yields, resulting in wines with incredible concentration, deep fruit profiles, and a surprisingly fresh finish.
The 2019 white is a "pleasantly rich" wine that leans into the riper side of Chardonnay, showing exotic notes of candied citrus, sliced apple, and gingerbread. Despite the warmth of the year, it retains a zesty limestone backbone that prevents it from feeling heavy.
