Champagne Henriot L'inattendue 2018
Tasting Notes
Henriot L'Inattendue 2018 is a rare and distinctive expression of the Maison Henriot philosophy, showcasing the purity, elegance and mineral precision that have defined the house for more than two centuries.
Crafted from 100% Chardonnay and finished with a low 2g/L dosage, this exceptional cuvée highlights the remarkable freshness and finesse of the 2018 vintage. Extended lees ageing enhances texture and complexity while preserving the vibrant energy and chalk-driven character that are synonymous with Henriot.
The bouquet is refined and expressive, offering aromas of ripe pear, crisp apple and citrus layered with subtle notes of biscuit, toasted hazelnut and crushed chalk. On the palate, it is beautifully focused, with a silky mousse carrying flavours of orchard fruit, delicate pastry and saline minerality through to a long, dry and precise finish.
Founded in 1808 by Madame Apolline Henriot, Maison Henriot remains one of Champagne's few great independent family-owned houses. Renowned for its exceptional Premier and Grand Cru vineyards, extended ageing and meticulous winemaking, Henriot continues to produce Champagnes that are celebrated for their balance, elegance and unmistakable sense of place.
