Tasting Notes

Established in 1899, Champagne Pannier is a well-established high-quality producer already in 50 countries around the world, and United Cellars are so excited to be their exclusive partner in Australia.

They mature their wines in amazing 2km of limestone cellars that were carved over 200 years between the 12th to 14th Century. Their house symbol is an archer, after a 14th century carving found in their cellar, carved during the Hundred Years' War.

Despite winning awards and medals as well as some 90+ point scores, this House produces some of the most affordable Champagnes in Australia, whilst never compromising on quality.

This Low Dosage Extra Brut NV is a blend of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier. With a light dosage, this airy champagne reveals its pure and subtle character, revealing the true nature of the Extra-brut blending. Perfect partner for exceptional aperitifs and sushi.

Critic Scores

A low dosage is employed here, a trend we are seeing more and more of, and from which many wines are benefiting. The blend is 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Meunier. Straw/lemon in colour, this is finely crafted with good length and balance throughout. A line of bright, quite vibrant acidity runs the length. The wine broadens a little on the palate and there is a soft finish which does linger. The nose offers notes of lemons, grapefruit, florals and lemon curd. For drinking over the next three to six years.
