Dark-fruited, with black cherries, some tobacco, dark chocolate, liquorice and cool fireplace on the nose; soft and round on the attack, building a lot of pressure on the mid-palate, yet less powerful than in other years, grippy, ripe limestone tannins provide support, the acidity is perfectly balanced and carries the wine into an almost never-ending finish. The 2025 Bellefont-Belcier stands out once again as one of the highlights in the Vignobles K range. It offers a lively bouquet of cassis, mulberries and cherries mingled with spices and pencil lead. Medium- to full-bodied, layered and seamless, it’s built around a concentrated core of fruit that's animated by bright acidity and framed by velvety tannins. The finish is long, ethereal and perfumed. It's a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, matured one-third in foudres, with a pH of 3.48. About this Wine

Chateau-Bellefont-Belcier

Chateau Bellefont Belcier dates back to the seventeenth century as an estate. The vineyard was officially founded in the middle of the eighteenth century by Count Louis Francois de Belcier, which as you can guess, is where the estate took the first part of its name from.

In 1803, the Count constructed the chateau that remains in use today. The Count was also responsible for giving the estate the first part of its name, Bellefont. The 12.5 hectare vineyards of Bellefont Belcier are planted to 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. However, the entire estate is 20 hectares.
