Critic Scores

Such a balanced and harmonious red with control, texture and length. It has aromas of red berries, cedar, pebbles and baking spices. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Velvety and attractive, with a long, flavorful, precise finish. A blend of 64% cabernet sauvignon, 31% merlot and 5% cabernet franc. - 97 to 98 Points - James Suckling

The intensity and freshness of the bouquet are perfectly complemented by its subtlety. No single element dominates; rather, the whole guides the nose with notes of cherries and blueberries, enhanced by freshness with hints of eucalyptus and garrigue. The bouquet demonstrates that a wine that manages to combine intensity and subtlety is destined for greatness. The silky, lively attack heralds a tonic, powerful, elegant, and perfectly balanced wine. Its tannins provide a solid foundation, delivering energy and precision, while the acidity ensures freshness right through to the finish. The finish benefits from this energy, transforming tension into a driving force that prolongs the experience. At times, one might find oneself daydreaming, perhaps even drifting off to sleep, before a revitalizing spark brings us back to reality… to experience a waking dream! A full-bodied, muscular, vigorous, and persistent wine. A muscular marathon runner who will set off for a second lap once he's crossed the finish line at full speed. That's called persistence. A perplexing, fascinating, invigorating wine! What a character! - 97 - 98 Points - Yves Beck

Vibrant, and silky in the mouth, the wine delivers its multiple layers of sweet, lifted, black cherries, dark cocoa, refreshing mint, spice, and strawberries. There is elegance, and length, with a fruit-filled, refined, energetic finish. Give it a year or two in the bottle, and the wine will be even better. The wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot. 13% ABV, pH 3.71. Harvesting took place September 18 - October 11. Drink from 2030-2060. - 96 to 98 Points - Jeff Leve

So enchanting is the aroma that I could hold the glass and keep smelling it all day! Château Giscours 2025 turns like a kaleidoscope in slow motion, its layers shifting with every flicker of light. The grace of iris drifts past, only for a basket of mist-kissed blueberries to appear; the spice of licorice and star anise barely fades before dissolving into a lush world of bayberry and cherry juice. Nothing is released all at once, everything moves, breathes, and transforms, the fragrance flowing in quiet succession, serene yet alive. And if the nose already invites surrender, the palate seals it. What follows is a moment of absolute purity of freshness, as if countless chilled bayberries melt one by one, their sweet, vivid juice spreading across the tongue without end, carrying you far beyond the present moment. - 96 to 98 Points - Alexandre Ma
