    • Description

Dom Pérignon could very well be the most celebrated champagne brand in the world.

Owned by pioneers of luxury, Luis Vuitton Möet Hennessy (LVMH), Dom Pérignon champagnes are uniquely crafted by vino-genius Richard Geoffroy, otherwise known as ‘Chef de Cave’.

      Blend: Pinot Noir & Chardonnay

Disgorged for a minimum of 1 year before release

Dom Pérignon is vintage champagne only. Each vintage is a creation, singular and unique, that expresses both the character of the year, and the character of Dom Pérignon.

Combining intensity, contained tautness and extreme contradictions, the Dom Pérignon blend reveals a unique structure, resonating to the rhythm of controlled energy, channelled by an acidity and bitterness that burst forth magnificently. The nose is full and varied, mingling flowers with fruit, and the vegetal with the mineral. The bouquet is tactile, subtly enticing us along a trail of powdery white flowers and nectareous apricot, followed by the freshness of rhubarb and mint and the minerality of ash, white pepper. Energy dominates on the palate. After a welcoming opening, the wine quickly becomes vibrant and then literally explodes with a surge of effervescence and tonicity. Focused by acidic and bitter notes, the finish brings a penetrating tautness marked by ginger, tobacco and toasted accents.

    Dom Pérignon

Dom Pérignon was a French Benedictine monk who lived from 1638 to 1715 and is best known for his work at the Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers in the Champagne region of France. As a cellar master, he developed the méthode champenoise, a winemaking technique involving a secondary fermentation in the bottle that creates carbon dioxide and gives Champagne its signature bubbles.

While Dom Pérignon did not invent Champagne, he greatly improved the quality of the wine with his innovative techniques and became synonymous with the high standards and excellence of Champagne production. His contributions to the Champagne industry were so significant that the renowned Champagne house Moët & Chandon named their luxury cuvée after him. Dom Pérignon champagne is highly sought after by wine enthusiasts around the world and is often regarded as one of the finest and most prestigious Champagne brands.

Dom Pérignon's legacy lives on through his impact on the Champagne industry, and his name remains closely associated with the history and tradition of this iconic French wine.
