The Falletto vineyard, situated on the steep slopes of Serralunga d'Alba, is renowned for its calcareous marl soils and optimal south-west exposure. These conditions contribute to the production of Nebbiolo grapes with exceptional structure and complexity. In 2012, the vintage was characterised by a dynamic growing season, resulting in smaller berries with thick skins, yielding deeply concentrated wines with pronounced structural elements. The grapes were hand-harvested and underwent traditional vinification, including extended maceration and ageing in large oak casks, to preserve the purity and elegance of the fruit.

The 2012 Falletto Barolo DOCG presents a deep garnet hue. The nose is complex and refined, offering aromas of cherry, raspberry, and subtle notes of dried herbs and vanilla spice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and structured, showcasing flavours of plum, cedar, and hints of chocolate, with a touch of hazelnut emerging over time.
