Pierre Paillard 'Les Terres Roses' Grand Cru Rose Champagne NV
Tasting Notes
The Bouzy Grand Cru Rosé is a distinctive expression of Pierre Paillard's Grand Cru vineyards, combining the precision of Chardonnay with the depth and character of Bouzy Pinot Noir.
Based on the 2019 vintage with 30% reserve wines, the blend comprises 65% Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Noir, including 7% Bouzy Rouge - the estate's own still red wine produced from its finest Grand Cru Pinot Noir. This traditional Bouzy technique lends the wine an unmistakable purity of red fruit while preserving the freshness and elegance of Champagne. Fermented in oak and matured for 30 months on lees, the result is a rosé of remarkable texture, complexity and finesse.
The bouquet is beautifully expressive, revealing wild strawberry, red apple, cranberry and freshly baked brioche. The palate is generous yet finely detailed, with layers of vibrant red berry fruit, creamy texture and bright, mouthwatering acidity. A subtle saline edge and delicate phenolic grip add structure before a long, precise finish. Equally suited as an aperitif or alongside food, this is a rosé Champagne that balances richness with remarkable freshness.
