Medium ruby to garnet colour showing some development; the bouquet also showing some tertiary nuances buildng a smoked charcuterie and toasty oak mélange, uncannily burgundian and five-spicy, with intensity, persistence and great sweet fruit richness in its core. The flavour builds and swells as it progreses through the mouth, fanning into a true "peacock's tail". An outstanding pinot noir, with 'wow' factor!

A little more open, a little more aromatic, a little more immediately inviting than the previous release, which is good news for those impatient wine drinkers among us. Lifted and beautifully perfumed in rose petal and violet aromas, red berries, raspberry, blood orange pith and aromatic dried herbs. Comes together in perfect sync, integrated in fine tannins, with small red berries, herbs and aromatics on show and a freshness of acidity that pulses and brightens the whole experience. But, yes, for those not impatient, be assured it's got a decade in it, easy.

It’s very Beechworth and very Savaterre. Raspberry, cherry, wet leaves, dried rose, cedar and spice, with a some cut red capsicum and smoked paprika, or maybe Lapsang souchong tea. It’s medium-bodied, a little sappy and meaty, red fruits and spice, a beetroot earthiness to it, a crisp feel with light smoky and grainy tannin, finishing with excellent length and a twist of orange peel and ginger. Compelling and individual. It’s a really good wine.
