A blend of fruit from Frankland River, McLaren Vale and Coonawarra. It’s a new release made from just eight barrels from these three regions. Opens with some pretty, wild, dark brambly fruit – the blue fruit and mulberry influence of Frankland striking initially. Delve into the palate and layers of charred meats, black olive and dark chocolate coated licorice emerge. It’s a wine of power and poise with the firmish tannins well integrated.

This inaugural release is a blend of 52.3/44.3/3.4% cabernet sauvignon/shiraz/malbec from 47/44/9% Frankland River/McLaren Vale/Coonawarra vineyards. Aged for 19 months in French oak (25% new). An elegant wine straight out of the gates, with pure, detailed blackberry and plum notes supported by layered spice, dark chocolate, black pepper, earth and softly spoken cedar tones. There's an air of grace across the palate with balanced, cascading ripe tannins and supple-yet-savoury form from ripe fruit and a finish that lingers wonderfully.
