While sampling grapes from fine-quality vineyards to make The Prisoner, we came across many that, although not right for that distinctive Napa Valley blend, were just too good to let go. We created Saldo to feature this outstanding fruit from Dry Creek, Lodi, and Amador, where Zinfandel has thrived for decades.

Dark ruby color with bold aromas of ripe red and black cherry, blackberry, lifted black pepper, and baking spice. The entry is immediately rich and full, with vibrant fruit and spice and a hint of chocolate. The finish is voluptuous with soft, round tannins.

Zinfandel (80%), Petite Sirah (12.5%), Grenache, Primitivo, Syrah (7.5%). Aged 9 months in barrels, New 15% American, 15% European Oak.
