Warramate Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2025
Tasting Notes
There are few things more compelling than discovering a wine with genuine vineyard pedigree just as it enters a significant new chapter. Established in 1970 on a prized north-facing site in the Yarra Valley, Warramate has long possessed the foundations for greatness. Now, under the ownership of Yarra Yering, that potential is being realised with renewed purpose and precision.
The 2025 Pinot Noir is a particularly persuasive expression of this evolution. Drawing on the estate's mature, dry-grown vineyards and benefiting from the same exacting vineyard philosophy that underpins Yarra Yering, it captures the perfume, finesse and savoury complexity that make the Yarra Valley one of Australia's great homes for Pinot Noir. There is an almost Burgundian sensibility here: fragrant, composed and finely structured, with a sense of place that far exceeds its position in the market.
