Tasting Notes

(Marsanne 62%, Roussanne 38%). From vines that are now approaching 50 years of age, our 2021 white blend continues its tradition of being an understated, complex and food-friendly wine. The nose is floral, with notes of jasmine, honeysuckle and orange blossom, while also having a subtle, savoury depth that speaks of pear skin, quince & beeswax. The palate offers more of the same, with a savoury, textured and powerful mouthfeel, that’s also lively and fresh, with a long and moreish finish. Enjoy now, and then watch this complex wine evolve over the next 8-10 years. – Sandra de Pury

62/38% marsanne/roussanne from vines planted between 1973 and ’85. The varieties were picked and made separately with blending just before bottling. Both were fermented in tank before being 10 months in seasoned oak. A bright green gold. Year in and year out, this wine delivers the goods. Pure fruited with stone and orchard fruits, orange blossom, fresh ginger and a touch of spice. It's mouth-filling and textured yet super fresh. About this Wine

Yeringberg

Yeringberg’s status as a pioneer of the Yarra Valley is indisputable. It was one of the first winery’s established in the region, was one of the last to stop making wine in the Yarra Valley when wine production ground to a halt in 1921 and was once again one of the first to revive its operations in 1969 when Australian-made wine came back into favour.

Third-generation winemaker, Guill de Pury, and his daughter Sandra focus on small-batch, handcrafted wines that reflect the history and charm of Yeringberg. The family celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2013 with plans to be making classic Yarra Valley wines for many more years to come.
