This vatted release combines multiple bourbon casks to achieve consistency and layered complexity, marrying lightly peated spirit with ex-bourbon wood's characteristic vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak notes. The blend is bottled at 44.2% ABV, lightly reduced from cask to preserve both peaty character and barrel-driven sweetness without chill filtration.

Founded in 2016 by David Pearse — a corporate IT architect — and Steven Griguol — a builder and sculptor — the distillery began in David's Adelaide Hills garage before relocating to larger premises on the Adelaide plains in late 2021, enabling seven-days-a-week production. Rather than purchasing equipment from a manufacturer, the pair designed and built their own copper pot still, retaining full control over distillation character. The distillery uses South Australian-grown and malted Pilsner barley across all its single malt expressions.
