818 Tequila Añejo is made from 100% Blue Weber Agave grown in the Jalisco Highlands, processed at the family-owned NOM 1607 distillery in Amatitán, Jalisco. The piñas are slow-cooked in traditional stone ovens for over 30 hours, then crushed in a stone Tahona wheel pit, fermented naturally in open tanks for over 40 hours, and double-distilled in copper alembic pot stills. For the Añejo expression, the distillate is then aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for a period qualifying for the añejo category — a minimum of one year — producing a richer, rounder tequila with notes of vanilla, caramel, roasted agave, dark chocolate, and warm oak spice. Bottled at 40% ABV.
