Bass Phillip, founded in Gippsland in 1979, became an Australian Pinot Noir icon through founder Phillip Jones’ uncompromising pursuit of Burgundian-style quality. The Estate Pinot Noir captures that pioneering spirit and the cool-climate character of Gippsland.

Fragrant red cherry, raspberry and earthy spice lead into silky tannins and beautifully fresh acidity. Elegant yet rewarding, it’s superb with duck, roast chicken, salmon or mushroom dishes.

Critic Scores

This bottling is the most linear and acid driven of the range. A translucent strawberry hue, the nose is open and elegant, with delicate aromas of fresh red berries, dried roses, white pepper, terra cotta and savory spice. There's an initial burst of tingly acidity on the tongue that mellows, allowing the silky textured fruit, savory, floral and mineral nuances to shine. Drink now–2030. Christina Pickard
