Carn Mor Dalmunach 2015 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 47.5% 700ml

The Carn Mor Strictly Limited range of Scotch Whisky from the Family-owned Independent Bottlers, Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers, are a collection of Scotch whiskies from some of the finest distilleries in Scotland. What makes the whiskies so special is that all the whiskies are non-chill-filtered to keep all of the oils and proteins that give it that fantastic authentic and non-doctored flavour in the bottle. As real as it gets.

This 8-Year-Old Single Malt was distilled at Dalmunach, a Speyside distillery that is still relatively unknown to the world. Founded on the site of the now closed Imperial Distillery, Dalmunach is a modern distillery that aims to recreate the heavier style whisky of the past. This spirit is rarely released, making it a treat for collectors and drinkers alike when it is available. This batch was aged in a single Oloroso Sherry butt, and cut back to 47.5% prior to bottling.

Expect a big, jammy whisky, heavy in dried fruits, oak spice, and an oily character that is reminiscent of whisky produced in the 80's & 90's. Dried sultanas, leather, and marmalade.
