Tamdhu is distinguished by its exclusive use of Oloroso sherry cask maturation across its entire range — one of only a handful of Scotch distilleries with this commitment. The distillery uses traditional Saladin box maltings on site and draws water from the Tamdhu spring. Its Speyside character centres on rich dried fruits, Christmas cake spice, and deep sherry influence from the all-Oloroso cask policy. Independently bottled from a 2015 distillation by The Vintage Malt Whisky Company as part of The Golden Cut series at 50% ABV, without chill-filtration.
