    • Description

Les Greves is named for its gravelly soils, which are based on limestone and provide excellent drainage for the vines. A lack of water and nutrients in the topsoil encourages deep root growth in order to reach hydration from the rock below. The soil makeup is often given as the reason for the weight and depth.

    Domaine De Bellene

The Domaine de Bellene was born in 2005, following the proposal of certain winegrowers, stopping their activity, to exploit their vines in the form of renting. The desire to control the entire production chain, from the vine to the marketing of wines, with a view to very high quality was decisive in the creation of this wine-growing operation.

13.85 ha formed the initial plot stretching from Santenay to the Côtes de Nuits Villages with 3 major centers in the Saint-Romain, Beaune and Savigny-Les-Beaune appellations. Conducted from the outset in organic farming, they have always sought to work the vines with respect for the terroir so that at the harvest, the grapes are of very high quality, both sanitary and phenological.
