The 2023 growing season brought cool, humid conditions throughout, creating significant disease pressure and ripening challenges. The domaine's low-yield approach and intensive canopy work proved essential to achieving fruit quality. Multiple harvest passes through the parcel selected grapes at optimal ripeness despite compressed ripening windows.

Despite cooler 2023 conditions, fermentation proceeded traditionally in oak using natural yeasts, a hallmark of the domaine's approach. The resulting wine reflects the vintage's lighter profile—fresh, mineral-driven rather than viscous. Extended lees contact through 12–18 months of élevage develops texture and complexity from the challenging growing season. No filtration allows the wine's mineral foundation to carry through to bottle.
