    • Description

Domaine Dujac Echezeaux Grand Cru 2019 is a remarkable expression of Burgundy’s prestigious terroir, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship that defines Domaine Dujac’s winemaking philosophy. This certified organic wine captures the essence of the 2019 vintage, a year celebrated for its ideal growing conditions that allowed grapes to ripen fully while maintaining vibrant acidity and balance.

Crafted from partially destemmed grapes, the fermentation process utilizes indigenous yeasts, enhancing the wine’s natural purity and complexity. The 2019 Echezeaux reveals an enchanting bouquet of ripe cherries, fragrant rose petals, and subtle musk, reflecting the vineyard’s careful organic farming practices. These aromatic layers unfold beautifully on the palate, delivering a silky texture and a long, elegant finish that lingers with refined intensity.

Esteemed critics have recognized the exceptional quality of this vintage, with Wine Advocate awarding it 96 points, underscoring its status as a standout Grand Cru. This score highlights the wine’s harmonious balance, depth of flavor, and aging potential, making it a prized selection for collectors and connoisseurs alike.

Originating from the renowned Echezeaux vineyard in Burgundy, this Grand Cru benefits from a unique combination of limestone-rich soils and a microclimate that nurtures the Pinot Noir grapes to perfection. The 2019 vintage, in particular, is noted for its concentration and vibrancy, offering a compelling snapshot of the region’s exceptional terroir.

With its elegant structure and expressive character, Domaine Dujac Echezeaux Grand Cru 2019 is an exquisite example of premium Burgundy wine, ideal for those seeking a sophisticated and organically crafted Pinot Noir that promises both immediate pleasure and rewarding cellaring potential.

    Domaine Dujac

Domaine Dujac in Burgundy was acquired by Jacques Seysses in 1967. The domaine in Morey-St-Denis had 4 hectares of vineyards and he has subsequently built it up to 11.5 hectares. Domaine Dujac now includes holdings in Clos de la Roche, Clos St-Denis, Bonnes-Mares, Echézeaux and Charmes-Chambertin . “Use knowledge and technology to counter accidents – for example, bad weather – but, if all is going well, don’t interfere,” says Seysses and this principle guides much of what happens in the vineyards and the cellars. Dujac wines are neither filtered nor fined and all of his premiers and grands crus are aged in 100% new oak. These are wines of the very highest order.

Dujac wines are not necessarily the deepest in colour but are noted for their exceptional fragrance, structure and longevity. With seven grands crus in the stable, Dujac is today one of Burgundy’s leading domaines.
