    Domaine Naturaliste

    Of the Domaine Naturalist wines, made by award-winning winemaker Bruce Dukes, James Halliday says 'The sheer quality of the wines he makes is equalled only by his consistency.' Classic Margaret River varietals done to a very high quality given the modest price of the range.

    Domaine Naturalist was awarded 'Best WA Winemaker 2011' by Wines of Western Australia and makes wines in 'An artisanal approach and quality inputs result in beautifully balanced wines.' Bruce Dukes has 24 years of local and international winemaking experience with 4 years at Francis Ford Coppola's Niebaum-Coppola winery in California taught him an important lesson; to understand and respect history, and to find out how and why ‘things happen’ and which techniques influence and shape the winemakers’ art. During his time in the Napa Valley, Dukes’ exacting and confident approach was succinctly captured by distinguished wine expert and writer Professor Steven Kolpan who noted in his book on Niebaum-Coppola entitled ‘A Sense of Place’ that;

    'Bruce Dukes articulates the art and science of winemaking with elegance and ease. Dukes knows that the finest wines are made vine by vine, berry by berry...'
