From the heights of these century-old vineyards with a thousand different sensations, the spectacle begins! Espectacle is the working result of an experts group in the world of wine, united by the common project of elaborate a unique wine, one that communicates the particularities of a centenary garnatxa wineyard, in the area of Montsant. Each one of them apports his knowledge and experience in the elaboration of this exceptional wine.

RENÉ BARBIER- Born in Tarragona in and descended from a family of French viticultors from 1200. As did his predecessors he has dedicated his life to the world of wine. Trained in the most prestigious schools of oenology in Bordeaux, Bourgogne y Limoux , he worked in such renowned cellars as Moueix, producers of Petrus among others. His experience in the world of wine ranges from viticulture to marketing and evidently also to the production of his own wines. In 1979 he acquired his first estate in Priorat and started to produce his first wine of the area : Clos Mogador.

CHRISTOPHER CANNAN - Christopher Cannan is passionate about the world of wine. He was brought up in the UK and has studied in Switzerland , Germany and Spain. In his early 20`s during the 1970`s he travelled to the main European Wine producing areas. His desire to work with the wines renowned for their quality impelled him to create Europvin in 1978. In 1997, advised by René Barbier, promoter of the Priorat region in Cataluña, he acquired the vineyards of Clos Figueres de Gratallops. ln 1999 , together with René , he founded the Laurona cellar in the neighbouring area of Montsant where Espectacle is produced. Today he is responsible for Espectacle in all markets outside Europe.
