Distillation

Fee Brothers Habanero Bitters is a cocktail bitters produced in Rochester, New York, by the macerating of habanero chillies and complementary botanicals in an alcohol base. Habanero peppers are among the hotter varieties of the Capsicum chinense species and are widely used in Caribbean and Latin American cooking for their distinctive fruity heat. In bitters form, the habanero's bright citrus and tropical fruit notes are extracted alongside its characteristic heat — producing a bitters suitable for adding spice and aromatic complexity to cocktails. Presented in a 150ml bottle at 7% ABV, dosed by the dash.

Provenance

Fee Brothers is a family-owned cocktail bitters and mixers company established in 1864 in Rochester, New York — making it one of the oldest continuously operating producers of cocktail bitters in the United States. The company was founded in the era of the classic American bar, when aromatic bitters were a standard ingredient in nearly every mixed drink. Fee Brothers survived Prohibition by pivoting to non-alcoholic syrups and mixers, and has remained in the Fee family across five generations. The company produces more than fifty varieties of bitters, syrups, and cocktail mixers, supplied to bartenders and home enthusiasts across the world.
